Brazon
Award |
The
Brazon Award of Professional Standards is given out every
year on the final night of Miss Gay Ohio America. The award
is named in honor of Miss Gay Ohio America 1995, Brazon, (Gary
McMurtry), who's life ended long before our memories ever
will. The award is voted on by past winners and is meant to
recognize those in the gay community who exemplify the standards
of professionalism we hold so dear in the Ohio America family.
We continue to send love and prayers to our friend Brazon.
We keep her talent and personality alive by sharing this award
with one lucky individual every July.

in Dedication Award |
The
Excellence in Dedication Award is given out every year on
the final night of Miss Gay Ohio America. The award is meant
to recognize one individual who has dedicated much of their
time, knowledge, heart and soul to the Miss Gay Ohio America
family. The recipient is chosen by the state promoter and
has accomplished great things within the previous 12 months
to ensure the success of our pageant system. This award was
born out of the great dedication and support Aron has felt from family, friends, formers, contestants,
and the community and their need to say thank you for that
support.

| Olivia Pantene Award |
The Olivia Pantene Award is given out every year on the first night of competition at Miss Gay Ohio America. The award is meant to highlight one individual who has dedicated their time and expertise to contestants that have competed in the Miss Gay Ohio America system. The recipient is chosen by the state promoter and the Board of Miss Gay Ohio America. The need for such an award is two-fold: to highlight and honor the life of a great man who gave immeasurable help to many former Miss Ohio's and contestants as they competed in our preliminaries, and to ensure that we always recognize the team members that work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the contestant is the best contestant they can be. From Olivia Pantene we all learned much and now as he rests peacefully we hope that many will follow in his footsteps and join a team to help a future contestant.

| City Preliminary Of The Year Award |
The Miss Gay Ohio America Preliminary of the Year Award is given out at the Ohio in Review Show every Saturday Night of Miss Ohio weekend. The reigning Miss Gay Ohio America uses many qualifications to determine which preliminary throughout the year stood above all the rest. The winner usually understands the difference between a well run pageant and just having the most popular contestant. They will also have a well planned and well ran evening: a strong registration, a good number of contestants, good entertainment, and an appropriate emcee. As with most successful pageants, communication between the promoter and the reigning Miss Ohio will be key.

| City Promotor Of The Year Award |
The Miss Gay Ohio America Promoter of the Year Award is given out at the Ohio in Review Show every Saturday Night of Miss Ohio weekend. The reigning Miss Gay Ohio America uses many qualifications to determine which promoter throughout the year stood above all the rest. This award is the biggest honor given to promoters within the Miss Gay Ohio America family. Promoters must exemplify communication with Miss Ohio and their contestants, be able to handle multiple issues while always doing what is best for the pageant system, hold true to their prize package, and be a leader within the Ohio family. These promoters have gone above and beyond by being the promoter year round and not only during the week of their preliminary. Congratulations to these leaders:
