Hints from Hellin !!
"Ohio Excellence" - September

Hello all, it's Hellin Bedd again.  I wanted to take a few moments to keep everyone updated on my adventures as Miss Gay Ohio America thus far.  Shortly after Miss Ohio, I had an opportunity to travel to Louisville to support a good friend, Nina West at the national EOY pageant.  Congratulations to your new Entertainer of the Year, miss Nina West.  Sitting in the audience, the excitement was absolutely palpable.  It really got me stoked for the national Miss Gay America pageant.  If you have never had a chance to witness such a grand spectacle, I would like to invite you to travel to St Louis to support myself and Beverly Ford.  If you are unable to make the journey in October, I would still welcome any assistance and would appreciate everyone's support at my send off shows.  The first will be held at Somewhere Else night club, Friday, September 5 at 11pm.  If you are unable to make that one, hopefully you can join me the following Friday, September 12 at the Score Bar at 9pm.  The final show will be a dual send off for myself and Beverly at Axis, Sunday, September 21st at 8pm.  GO TEAM OHIO!!!!!
Now, while I want to extend thanks to everyone who is helping me polish things up for nationals, in particular Neal Raffensberger for shooting such a wonderful photo session and Tiffanie Taylor for choosing my official Miss Gay Ohio America headshot, I love it, I also have some administrative duties that should be addressed.  One of my platforms for the coming year will be to ensure the entire state of Ohio feels represented at the state pageant.  Thank you to all the wonderful promoters and performers who represented this year from Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Dayton, Springfield and Columbus.  We are currently seeking promoters and contestants to represent Toledo, Cincinnati, Lima, Newark, Youngstown, Miami Valley, Great Lakes or any other community willing and excited to become part of the best pageant system in the country.  Any interested parties may contact me at www.missgayohioamerica.com.
In closing, if the next eleven months are as much of a whirlwind as the first month, this year should prove to be a fun filled, exciting and intense one.  I look forward to seeing all of you soon and thank you for your love and support.

I love you all,

Sincerely,
Hellin Bedd

A Message from The Miss Gay Ohio America Office:

A Message from Tiffanie

Hello All,

Aron and I have been asked over and over, why we promote Miss Gay Ohio America and I have to admit that we have asked ourselves that same question. I think the number one reason we continue is, even though the past year had trial after trial we have discovered a family in MGOA.  It stems not only from the Formers, but also from the numerous young men that come back year after year to follow thier dream. The pageant staff is often times the unsung heroes of our family, due to the fact that if we dont see them, they must really be doing their job correctly. The community that we live in is somtimes so degrading to each other but we can honestly say that the supporters of MGOA are a wonderful addition to our very extended family every year.

We would like to Congratulate our new "Sister" Hellin Bedd, She took what the judges had to say last year and came back with a very clean and consistent package. We look forward to watching her reign as Miss Gay Ohio America and are excited to see the changes that are in store for MGOA this year.
We have so many other people to thank and it would take a book to do so. Please know that if you have been involved in MGOA in anyway, as a spectator, dresser, contestant, fan, or staff, we appreciate all the joy you bring to us.
With Love

Tiffanie Taylor
